Party time!

Happy Valentine’s Day! Although I am not a great fan of this holiday, I must admit this year I got caught in the fun of it. This is partly because I am in the Alps just now, gazing out of the window at a very romantic landscape of white peaks and snow-laden trees. But, mostly, it’s because this year, I decided to take part in two blog parties, one by Flatwood Folks Art and one by Collage Diva at Soul Journal, and the romantic mood was really infectious. It inspired me to infuse my work with pink, lace-filled loveliness. And having the deadline of the party was good too. I tend to obsess about my stuff, tinkering with it because I am never genuinely happy with how it looks. Not this time round. I wanted to have a few pieces ready for February 14, for the parties, and if they are not perfect, then so be it. They are meant to capture the moment.
So thanks to anyone who is stopping by. I hope you enjoy what I have done.

What lovely collages! I know what you mean about the Valentine holiday. I’m a single mom with no gentleman callers. I decided some years ago that this day is not just for those who are courting or who are married. I’m happy to see that you had fun with this. Your son makes the most perfect cupid. I bet mine would too. I love that some of your Valentines are not all pink. “Still Loved” has such a lovely quality – it is charming and romantic. I didn’t see you listed on my blog roll so I just added you. Thanks for playing. I love your work! Enjoy your Alpine vistas. {soul hugs} k

What a lovely collection of exquisite and elegant DigiArt! I especially love the idea of your son ‘playing cupid’! As for the Day: did you know that is also called in the following countries: Finland: Ystävänpäivä “Friend’s day” Estonia: Sobrapäev, “Friends’s day” and in Guatemala, “Día del Amor y la Amistad” (Day of Love and Friendship or Amigo secreto (“Secret friend”)Day!
So take your pick – I am calling it ‘World Friendship Day’ myself.
