This is a little background I made today for the summer. The base wash is a pastel blue, with layers of yellow, pastel green, phtalo blue and phtalo green—the idea was to capture the colours of the sea. I am going to use it for a collage, but haven’t quite decided what will go with it.
I am also wondering whether to tinker with the background some more, perhaps by adding a bit of texture, or whether to leave it as is, and do all the work in the collage. What’s your view?
