And we are off! We are going to spend Easter in northern Sardinia, where we are going to visit the home of Italian Independence War leader Giuseppe Garibaldi (who happens to be one of Niccolo’s heroes at the moment). We have a family story linked to Garibaldi, as my ancestors on my maternal grandfather’s side hailed from Southern Italy and fought against Garibaldi and Independence—but I am saving it for the Memories party on April 17.
In the meantime, the eggs are dyed, the bags are packed, the Easter surprise is hidden and we are ready to catch our plane. I won’t be posting anything for a few days, as I don’t know whether I’ll manage to get online while we are there, but just before I go, here is a background I made today, which is waiting to become a collage on my return.
